Job summary

The U.S. Water Culligan Group is hiring a Water Treatment Service Technician in Illinois. You will complete a 7-week hands-on training program combining classroom, shop time, and field training, gaining skills to install water softeners and filtration systems in customers’ homes.

Expect hourly pay with commissions and lead fees, plus a sign-on bonus and monthly bonuses, with a comprehensive benefits package after onboarding and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Handy or mechanically inclined and able to work with customers.
• Comfortable with physical work and tight spaces.
• Plumbing/mechanical experience preferred but not required.
• No college degree required.
• Able to lift 80 lbs and handle physical tasks.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Install water treatment systems in customers' homes and businesses.
• Analyze and diagnose water quality issues.
• Repair water conditioning and related equipment.
• Educate customers on system use and care.
• Maintain service documentation and reports.
• Coordinate with Sales and Customer Service for high-quality service.
• Safely operate a company vehicle and use tools for installations.
• Support daily work with plumbing skills as needed.
