Job summary

Garratt-Callahan in Louisiana seeks a Technical Sales Support/Service Technician to maintain and grow the existing customer base. The role focuses on water testing at customer sites, from data centers to industrial facilities, with a clear path to Territory Manager.

Compensation includes $80,000–$100,000 first-year potential, plus a $675 monthly car allowance, bonuses, and strong training. Hometime can be spent in or near Alexandria with local travel.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in Chemistry or related field
• 3+ years in water treatment chemical industry preferred
• Nice to have backgrounds include lab experience, field service, plumbing, pipe fitting, welding, HVAC, electric

Responsibilities

• Solve customers' water problems.
• Treat industrial boilers and cooling towers to keep energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
• Perform detailed water testing & analyses at Industrial sites, Manufacturers, Data Centers, Medical Centers, and Commercial Buildings.
• Help sell Garratt-Callahan's proprietary chemical blends, equipment, & monitoring technology.
• Passivation of stainless steel in industrial water treatment systems.
• Help sell corrosion & scale inhibitors, coagulants, flocculants, biocides, bio-augmentation, feed & monitoring equipment, water management plans, reverse osmosis products.
• Help sell Water Safety Programs.
• Keep our existing customers happy.

Education

Technical degree in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering / Biology / Mechanical Engineering / Paper Science / Water Resources
