Job summary

Apex Companies is seeking a Drinking Water Treatment Process Engineer to support water projects in the Northeast, based in MA or RI offices with a hybrid schedule. You will develop design and engineering solutions for groundwater and surface water treatment plants, pump stations, and facility upgrades, touching every stage from concept to startup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required.
• 2+ years of water treatment design experience.
• EIT or PE license active or pursuing.
• Valid US driver's license.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• CAD proficiency and technical report writing.
• Experience with 3D drafting/BIM (Plant 3D, Revit, Navisworks) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare memoranda, reports, calculations, and cost estimates under supervision.
• Assist Project Manager with schedules and budgets on less complex projects.
• Coordinate with subconsultants under project direction.
• May serve as Lead Designer on smaller projects.
• Review calculations and design assumptions for quality control.
• Contribute to proposals with scope, budgets, and schedules.
• Assist in client meetings and technical presentations.
• Develop regulatory knowledge and client relationships.
• Mentor entry-level engineers and interns.
