Job summary
South32 Group Operations Pty. Ltd.
is seeking a Superintendent Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance to lead safe, reliable and efficient maintenance across fixed plant and mobile fleet at the Hermosa Project Site near Patagonia, Arizona. You will oversee electrical, instrumentation and automation systems, drive asset availability, health and safety, and build a high-performing maintenance culture in line with South32 values.
Qualifications
- Electrical or instrumentation trade qualification and license.
- Minimum 8 years in mining/mineral processing/heavy industrial operations.
- At least 3 years in a supervisory or superintendent E&I leadership role.
- Experience with plant automation, PLC, SCADA, and onboard controls.
- Knowledge of maintenance management systems (e.g. SAP PM).
Responsibilities
- Provide safety leadership across electrical, instrumentation, and automation maintenance.
- Lead maintenance execution for fixed plant, infrastructure, and mobile equipment.
- Coordinate between mobile fleet and fixed plant E&I activities.
- Oversee plant automation, PLCs, SCADA, and field devices.
- Develop executable maintenance plans with Planning & Scheduling.
- Coach and develop E&I supervisors, trades, and technicians.
