Qualifications

• Washington State Department of Health Level 4 certification or equivalent, must attain WA DOH Level 4 if equivalent from another state within six months of hire.
• Five (5) years at a water utility with at least three (3) years in a Class 3 or higher water treatment plant.
• Candidate must meet physical demands and work rotating shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform the duties of Operator in Responsible Charge at the water treatment plant.
• Supervise, lead, train, and mentor operators in Level 4 plant operations.
• Prepare regulatory reports and sign off on monthly DOH reports.
• Operate plant monitoring software and collect/record test data.
• Provide input to regulatory policies and ensure compliance with public health standards.
• May serve as Senior Treatment Plant Operator when required.
