Qualifications

• Class C Surface Water Operator Certification or ability to obtain within 8 months.
• Class B Surface Water Certification or ability to obtain within 2 years.
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair pumps, valves, and piping.
• Operate water treatment equipment and monitor plant processes.
• Collect samples and perform chemical and biological analyses.
• Record data and conduct hourly plant rounds.
• Adjust treatment processes to ensure water quality.
