Job summary

Golden State Water Company is hiring a Water Distribution Operator I or II in Rancho Cordova, CA to support the distribution system and respond to outages. The role requires basic qualifications and a valid CA driver license, with on-call duties and potential after-hours work.

You will learn to operate and maintain water mains, meters and hydrants, perform routine tests, document work, and interact with customers while supporting safety policies and proper reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• General PC skills.
• Good communication (written and verbal).
• Valid California driver license.

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform the tasks associated with maintenance and operation of a water distribution system.
• Learn the proper use of tools and equipment required to perform the job.
• Under direction, participate in installation, repairs and replacement of water mains, services, valves, hydrants and meters.
• Interact with customers and act as a representative of the Company.
• Perform basic customer support activities related to water distribution equipment and facilities.
