Golden State Water Company seeks a Water Treatment Plant Operator I/II to operate, maintain and monitor water treatment equipment at the Rancho Cordova facility. The role requires lab analyses, chemical handling, and adherence to safety standards.

Candidates should hold a high school diploma, have PC skills, and obtain or hold SWRCB certifications. The position entails 24/7 availability and potential after-hours work in a 25-mile response radius.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• SWRCB Water Distribution Operator 1 certification required if no valid T1.
• SWRCB Water Treatment Plant Operator 1 certification preferred at hire and must obtain Grade 2 within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Operates, maintains and monitors water treatment equipment.
• Performs laboratory analysis on water samples and collects samples for analysis.
• Loads/unloads chemicals and performs dosing calculations.
• Performs safety compliance and emergency response duties.
• Available for 24/7 emergency response; may require after-hours work.
• Residence within 25 miles of assigned water system boundary.
