Job summary

Park City Municipal Corporation seeks a Water Treatment Supervisor to oversee the operation and maintenance of surface water and mine tunnel treatment plants, ensuring compliance with Utah DDW and DWQ permits and maintaining high-quality drinking water.

The role manages staff, coordinates maintenance, and ensures 24/7 SCADA monitoring, with on-call shifts and regular collaboration with nearby utilities and water users. A CDL and Utah certifications are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 7 years of experience or combination of equivalent experience in operation, maintenance and repair of water treatment plants.
• Utah Operators certification: Grade IV Water Distribution and Treatment.
• Valid State CDL License.
• Within 60-minute travel time from home while on-call and for emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Supervise up to four Water Treatment Plant Operator III/IV staff and train them.
• Lead hiring, training, and performance evaluations for division employees.
• Direct operation, monitoring, maintenance and compliance for water treatment plants to meet regulatory limits.
• Oversee 24/7 SCADA monitoring and daily/weekly regulatory testing.
• Ensure compliance with sewer pretreatment permits and communicate with local sewer district.
• Coordinate maintenance plans for chemical feed systems, storage, and equipment.
• Use advanced water treatment knowledge to adjust chemicals and operations for water quality.
• Coordinate with neighboring utilities and manage source water rights schedules.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergencies 24/7/365.
