Sanitation District No. 1 is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician to support the Western Regional Wastewater Reclamation Facility.

The role requires independence, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and HVAC systems while adhering to safety protocols. Candidates should have a High School Diploma and a valid driver’s license, with experience in electrical controls and welding preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and valid driver's license required.
• Knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems and motor controls.
• Experience as entry-level electrician/HVAC technician.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and around energized components.
• Knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out protocols and safety procedures.

Responsabilités

• Complete assigned work orders and inspect finished work for quality.
• Perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment including electrical and HVAC systems.
• Work in permit-required confined spaces and areas with limited access.
• Inspect and repair electrical components and HVAC systems.
• Participate in safety classes and promote an accident-free work environment.
• Ensure equipment and vehicles are used safely and maintained.
• Analyze and resolve equipment issues promptly and cost-effectively.
• Ability to multi-task and balance multiple workloads.
• Perform fabrication for equipment or building and grounds as needed.
