Job summary

Woodard & Curran is seeking a full-time Water Treatment Operator to join our team at the University of New Hampshire (UNH) in Durham, NH. This role blends fieldwork with plant operations, including sampling, SCADA monitoring, and maintenance of treatment processes.

You’ll contribute to safe, high-quality drinking water, receive hands-on training and professional development, and have opportunities to advance licensure with reimbursement programs and a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or Equivalent.
• New Hampshire water treatment license preferred, or the ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and follow safety procedures.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the water treatment plant and remote water system processes and equipment, manually and via SCADA, adjusting operations as needed.
• Perform water quality sampling, testing, and analysis to ensure compliance with standards.
• Monitor remote pumping facilities with inspections and daily sampling as required.
• Operate, maintain, and repair plant equipment; manage flow and process control.
• Use asset management software for maintenance work orders and record-keeping.
• Perform general maintenance of plant, remote stations, and other duties.
