Job summary

Woodard & Curran is seeking a full-time Water Treatment Operator at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, NH. The role covers hands-on operation, sampling, and maintenance of water treatment systems to deliver safe drinking water to the university community.

Candidates can start with no license or bring one; NH license is preferred or obtainable within 12 months. Rotating shifts include on-call duties with a $200 stipend and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent is required.
• NH water treatment license preferred, or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
• Background check, pre-placement physical and drug screen required.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the water treatment plant and remote water system infrastructure, manually and via SCADA, and adjust operation as needed.
• Perform water quality sampling, testing, and analysis to ensure compliance with federal, state, and EPA standards.
• Monitor remote pumping facilities with inspections and daily sampling as required.
• Operate, maintain, and repair plant equipment; control flow through the treatment process into the distribution system.
• Maintain records using asset management software and update maintenance work orders.
• Perform general maintenance at the plant, remote pumping stations, and POU treatment locations.
