Job summary

Woodard & Curran seeks a full-time Water Treatment Operator for UNH in Durham, NH. The role supports both new entrants and experienced operators with licensure opportunities and on-the-job training.

You will collect samples, operate treatment systems, and maintain equipment while contributing to safe, high-quality drinking water for the University community. Rotating schedule includes evenings and weekends with on-call duties and a $200 stipend.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• NH water treatment license preferred or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and make sound process-control decisions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant and remote infrastructure, manually and via SCADA, adjusting operations as needed.
• Perform water quality sampling, testing and analysis to ensure compliance with federal, state, and EPA standards.
• Monitor remote pumping facilities with inspections and daily sampling as required.
• Operate and maintain plant equipment; perform preventive maintenance and ensure proper flow through treatment and distribution.
• Maintain records using asset management software and perform general site maintenance.
