Job summary

Inframark LLC is seeking a Water Operator in Training in Danville, Virginia to join our water facilities team. This entry-level role emphasizes learning the operation and maintenance of water plants, testing and safety compliance, and hands-on work across pumping, collection, and site upkeep.

You will perform basic cleaning, equipment maintenance, routine water tests, and data entry while following supervisor guidance to ensure reliable water service and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or related vocational training.
• Water treatment operations experience preferred.
• Valid state driver''s license required.

Responsibilities

• Operate pumping mechanisms to regulate flow and pressure on assigned shifts.
• Inspect and maintain pumps, valves, motors, air-vacs, blow-offs.
• Collect samples and perform tests (pH, H2S, CL2) and adjust processes as directed by supervisor.
• Document readings and test results, entering data into records.
• Operate and maintain grounds, clean tanks and equipment, and stock materials on vehicles and sites.
• Follow safety policies and participate in safety trainings.
