Trinity River Authority is seeking an Operator II to monitor and control water or wastewater treatment operations, including sampling, lab tests and process adjustments. The role involves shift work with some on-site duties and requires a Texas Class C license.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; sixty college credit hours preferred or equivalent technical education.
• Two years of experience in water/wastewater or raw water pumping plant.
• Texas Class C Water or Wastewater Operator's Certificate of Competency required; pass Plant-specific Operator II test (OER).

Responsibilities

• Monitors plant operations by observation, instrumentation and lab results and takes corrective actions.
• Adjusts processes and operates equipment to predetermined parameters.
• Maintains logs and records; communicates findings to the team.
• Performs basic preventive maintenance and safety procedures.
• Responds to emergencies and adheres to safety guidelines.
