Job summary

Trinity River Authority in Texas is seeking an Operator III to oversee plant operations, monitor processes, and adjust parameters to maintain safe, compliant water treatment. You will perform lab tests, interpret results, and ensure equipment runs smoothly.

The role requires a Texas TCEQ Class C Water or Wastewater Operator license and a valid Texas driver's license. Shift differential applies for night hours. This is an essential operations position with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; sixty college credit hours preferred or equivalent technical education.
• Must have completed all classes required for TCEQ B Treatment Plant Operator license.
• Texas Class C Water or Wastewater Operator's License required; pass Operator II/III tests.

Responsibilities

• Monitors plant operations by observation, instrumentation and lab results; takes corrective actions.
• Makes process adjustments to predetermined parameters; places equipment in/out of operation.
• Maintains plant safety, logs data, and communicates with staff; provides training when needed.
• Observes and adjusts flows and treatment conditions via SCADA and field checks.
• Performs lab tests and samples; conducts general housekeeping and data entry.
• Acts as lead operator in absence of Senior/Chief Operator and responds to emergencies.
