Job summary

A Class II Virginia Waterworks/Wastewater license is required, along with a high school diploma and related experience. The position requires manual tasks, ability to work varied shifts, and a valid Virginia driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1+ years related experience.
• Must possess Virginia Class II Waterworks and Wastewater Works license.
• Valid Virginia driver’s license; good driving record (≤6 demerit points).
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals and maps.
• Ability to pass respirator fit testing.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain water production and distribution system.
• Monitor SCADA to control plant and system functions.
• Makes rounds to ensure proper operation of processes.
• Measure chemical feed rate and calibrate dosages.
• Perform tests and maintain operation logs.
• Operates pumps, valves, sluice gates, and related equipment.
