Job summary

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or GED with 1+ year related experience and a Virginia Class IV Waterworks/Wastewater license, with willingness to work varied shifts and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1+ year related maintenance experience.
• Must possess a valid Virginia driver's license or have the ability to obtain one within 60 days.
• Must obtain Class IV Waterworks and Wastewater license within 18 months.
• Ability to read and interpret maps, drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds and perform physical tasks as required.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains water production and distribution system.
• Operates SCADA to monitor and control plant and system functions.
• Conducts rounds to ensure proper operation of processes.
• Measures chemical feed rates and calculates dosages.
• Reads maps, drawings, and schematics; performs leak surveys and line locations.
• Maintains logs and assists in water quality lab testing.
• Performs routine vehicle maintenance and general plant upkeep.
