Job summary

The City of Woodburn is seeking a Water Operator II to operate and maintain the city's water treatment plant, storage and distribution systems. Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 3 years of water treatment operation experience.
• Oregon Water Treatment Operator II certification required.
• Valid Oregon Class C driver’s license; pass background check; forklift, flagger, first aid/CPR training preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and assist in the maintenance of the city’s water treatment facilities, storage reservoirs, and pumping facilities to control treatment, storage, and distribution of safe drinking water.
• Monitor and test influent and effluent parameters; adjust plant operations to maintain compliance with state and federal water quality standards.
• Check alarms, pump operations, tanks and reservoir levels, and inspect dispensing equipment; troubleshoot telemetry systems.
