Job summary

City of Minot is seeking a Water Plant Operator I to join our water treatment team in Minot, ND. This entry-level, full-time role supports the day-to-day operation of the water plant and will pursue Grade I certification under supervision.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and at least one year of general labor or construction experience, plus a valid ND driver license. Salary ranges from $20.96 to $31.11 per hour and includes full benefits; overtime is eligible.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school and one year of general labor or construction experience.
• Possession of a valid North Dakota Driver License.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain within probation, a North Dakota CDL with proper endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in proper and effective operation of a water treatment plant under supervision.
• Work toward Grade I certification from the North Dakota State DEQ.
