Job summary

Saur Services (Glasgow) Ltd in Hillsborough, NJ, seeks an Operator In Training to join our water treatment team. The role teaches operation and maintenance of wastewater facilities, with hands-on supervision and guidance to obtain the wastewater license.

You will assist with testing, monitoring, records, and on-call rotation while adhering to EH&S policies. The position requires a high school diploma, 21+ years of age, and a NJ driver’s license; weekly schedule is 7:00am–3:30pm, with weekends

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• 1 year of related experience or technical training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with critical testing of facility operations under guidance.
• Learn to complete Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMRs) with assistance.
• Perform general preventative maintenance on treatment plant equipment.
• Maintain records of operations, maintenance, and inspections.
• Prepare monthly operating reports for clients/regulatory agencies.
• Adhere to EH&S policies and report safety hazards.
