Job summary

H2O Innovation Inc. in Germantown, NY seeks an Entry-Level Water & Wastewater Operator in Training to join our operations team. You will conduct routine water and wastewater tests, enter data, collect samples, and assist with basic maintenance under supervision.

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week with a rotating on-call schedule. Travel between multiple sites in Northern Dutchess and Columbia Counties is expected, including Hyde Park, Germantown and Hillsdale.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Possession of a valid state driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Plan to obtain water/wastewater certifications as part of career development.
• Background screening and motor vehicle record checks will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine water and wastewater tests, perform lab tests, and collect regulatory samples with accuracy.
• Enter test results into logbooks and data systems; report abnormalities to the manager.
• Troubleshoot equipment and report needed repairs.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment under supervision.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and organize supplies; manage waste removal and groundskeeping.
• Respond to on‑call emergencies within a 60‑minute window when scheduled.
