Job summary

3M seeks a Water Treatment Supervisor for Cottage Grove, MN to lead wastewater and water quality operations, ensuring safety, compliance and environmental quality while guiding a skilled team through supervision and training.

The role coordinates with maintenance and engineering, schedules priorities, and supports 24/7 production with flexible shifts as needed, driving continuous improvement and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with 2+ years manufacturing experience.
• High School diploma/GED with 4+ years water treatment facility experience.
• Wastewater license.
• Leadership experience in a union environment.
• Experience in project leadership, team leadership, supervisory, and/or management.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, prioritization and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all operations for 3M wastewater and water quality systems, ensuring safety, compliance, efficiency and alignment with standards.
• Promote a safe work environment and lead incident investigations.
• Cultivate and lead a team with cross-training, cooperation, innovation and teamwork; manage priorities and coaching.
• Ensure shift administrative activities are properly implemented and documented (time reporting, attendance, vacation, overtime).
• Represent plant leadership in initiatives across the plant and support 24/7 production with flexible shifts.
