Job summary

PSI Water Technologies, Inc. and Cleanwater1, Inc. seek a Field Service Technician based in or around Austin, TX. You will install, start up, repair and maintain water treatment equipment at customer sites across the US, with significant travel.

Responsibilities include on-site training, diagnostics, documentation, and collaboration with engineering, project management and sales teams. A valid driver's license and ability to work odd hours and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience installing, repairing or maintaining water treatment equipment or related field.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office for reports and time/records.
• Machinery demonstration/pilot testing or controls knowledge.
• Experience with electro-mechanical pneumatics hydraulics, AC/DC motor controls, PLCs, VFDs, and pump systems.
• Ability to diagnose technical problems and determine proper solutions.
• Strong mechanical, technical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read blueprints, plans, specs and other docs for startup/service.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently.
• Strong time management and organization skills.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and travel 50–75% to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical consultation and installation assistance on-site.
• Support startup monitoring and site readiness.
• Train customer personnel on equipment operation.
• Repair machines and systems, perform rebuilds and refurbishments.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Make technical recommendations to maintenance teams.
• Complete service reports and document repairs and maintenance.
• Document and manage defective parts for return or warranty.
• Adhere to safety policies at all times, including hazardous environments.
• Determine tools/equipment needed for day-to-day duties.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management and sales to resolve escalated problems.
• Ensure tools and equipment are kept safe and in good order.
• Ensure work is carried out in the required order and timeline.
• Travel 50–75% to customer sites within the continental US.
