Job summary

Xylem is seeking a Field Service Technician to service wastewater treatment equipment at customer sites, primarily around Milledgeville, GA, with occasional coverage in Albany, GA. The role includes on-site operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, with training provided for equipment such as clarifiers, RO, and biological treatment systems.

Qualified candidates have 1–2 years of technical experience in plumbing, HVAC, or related fields. A HS diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of technical experience preferred; water treatment or industrial experience a plus.
• Background in plumbing, HVAC, construction, or related technical field preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and plumbing systems.
• Ability to work independently at customer sites and interact professionally with customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate, service, troubleshoot, and maintain wastewater treatment equipment on-site.
• Support a retired power plant's wastewater treatment system.
• Participate in an emergency on-call rotation; weekends or after-hours emergencies are rare.
• Adhere to safety requirements and identify potential safety concerns.
