Job summary

Aquatech is seeking a Chemical Engineering Intern to join our Canonsburg, PA office for a summer internship. The role involves supporting the Engineering group with water treatment proposals, process calculations, and equipment sizing.

Interns will review PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment layouts, and assist with vendor quotation follow-ups. This is a full-time, in-office internship with a 90-day duration, offering hands-on experience in the water purification industry.

Qualifications

• Completed at least two years of undergraduate courses in Chemical Engineering.
• Familiarity with water purification processes such as membrane separation and chemical softening.

Responsibilities

• Assist an Applications Engineer with water treatment proposal preparation.
• Review Requests for Proposal (RFP) and perform basic process calculations (heat and mass balance).
• Assist in sizing water treatment processes and equipment; review PFDs, P&IDs and equipment layouts.
• Follow up with vendors for quotations on major equipment and commodity items.
