Job summary

Aquatech, a global leader in water purification systems, seeks a full-time engineering Intern for its Canonsburg, PA office this summer. You will assist with electrical equipment design, MCC sizing, PLC/HMI control systems, and prepare cost estimates.

The role is 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, for up to 90 days, with non-exempt status and opportunities to gain hands-on experience in water treatment technologies.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience in engineering or similar collegiate classes, preferably in Electrical Engineering.
• High School Diploma

Responsibilities

• Perform calculations for electrical equipment installation and design (including MCC sizing, switchgear, power transformers, and power cabling) and PLC/HMI-based control systems used in water treatment technologies.
• Prepare competitive cost estimates for instrumentation, controls, and electrical equipment proposed for the project.
• Other miscellaneous duties or responsibilities as assigned to support the operations of the department or the company.
• Preparation of technical documentation
• Follow up with vendors
• Assist with proposal preparation
• Assist with project execution
• Review project inquiries and specifications to perform proposal preparation or installation/commissioning of process and analytical instrumentation for use in water treatment plants.
• Prepare preliminary design/selection of Electrical and Instrumentation & Control system equipment.
