Qualifications

• Entry-level roles require a high school diploma or GED.
• Specialist or managerial roles require a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or related fields.
• Water treatment certification or safety passports (e.g., EUSR) may be required.
• Strong knowledge of SCADA systems, automated control software, and water treatment processes.
• Analytical skills to interpret water quality data and troubleshoot equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain water treatment equipment and systems, including pumps, chemical feed machines, and filtration units.
• Monitor water quality through routine testing and analysis to detect contaminants and ensure safety standards.
• Adjust chemical dosages to maintain water purity and compliance with health regulations.
• Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control systems to prevent malfunctions.
• Maintain accurate records of water treatment processes, test results, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and safety standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance and respond promptly to emergencies or equipment failures.
• Collaborate with engineers and environmental professionals to implement operational procedures and safety protocols.
