Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Water Systems Operator I to install, operate, maintain and repair water mains, pumps, wells and related equipment. The role requires following process control plans, performing field tests, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Location is Rialto, CA with full-time on-site duties. Candidates must hold a California driver’s license and water distribution/treatment certificates and be able to work in varied weather and physical conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Recent two years of progressive responsibility and experience in operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and mechanical water production equipment, treatment, and distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Operates water distribution systems using SCADA to meet regulatory standards.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance on water facilities following PM schedules.
• Performs field tests and adjusts chemical dosages for process control units.
• Maintains safety and environmental policies and may train new operators.
• Operates vehicles for plant operational purposes and supports other plant areas as needed.
