Job summary

The Ohio Water Environment Association is seeking a dedicated Utility Technician for Clark County to operate, maintain, and repair water and wastewater systems. Responsibilities include meter reading, testing, service connections, and customer-facing work, with training provided for plumbing and radio-read devices.

The role requires CDL Class A with tanker/air brake endorsements and the physical ability to lift heavy loads, perform confined-space tasks, and operate jet trucks and other equipment

Qualifications

• Ability to read meters manually and electronically.
• Ability to learn to operate touch read interrogator and related equipment.
• Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds and operate heavy tools.
• Plumbing skills learning with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Operates, maintains, and repairs water and wastewater equipment.
• Maintains sewer lift stations and repairs sewers.
• Performs meter reading, testing, installation, and service connections.
• Interacts with customers on shut-offs and repairs.
• Drives to work sites and handles routine laboratory tests.
