Job summary

The City of Copperas Cove is seeking a SCADA Technician to perform a range of tasks in the operation, maintenance, and repair of the SCADA system, and to monitor water quality and test results.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a valid Texas Driver's License, and willingness to be trained; candidates must pursue Class "D" and Class "C" Water Distribution licenses within specified timeframes, and be available for on-call duty.

Qualifications

• Valid Texas Driver's License (Class C or higher) with insurable record.
• No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Desirable: water distribution operations or related field.

Responsibilities

• Record data required by State, City, and department.
• Monitor and record data from SCADA system.
• Monitor chlorine residual within the water system.
• Perform maintenance on pumps, valves, and related equipment.
• Respond to customer service complaints and emergencies.
• Operate and maintain vehicles and on-call duties as needed.
