Job summary

Nisqually Indian Tribe is seeking a Water Systems Maintenance Technician to perform the full range of operations and maintenance for drinking water facilities, distribution systems, and storm water infrastructure. You will operate, monitor, and troubleshoot systems to ensure EPA compliance and safe drinking water delivery.

The role requires strong written and verbal communication, customer service, and the ability to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, with proper safety

Qualifications

• Education or experience aligned with drinking water operations and maintenance.
• Ability to interpret safety protocols from AWWA, ITCA and OSHA.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background checks are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform water sampling, testing, analysis and chemical treatment of water systems.
• Review water quality data and prepare compliance reports.
• Coordinate chemical feed system operations and inventory, including hazardous chemicals.
• Oversee maintenance and installation of chemical treatment equipment and programming.
• Support and train staff on potable water sampling and regulatory compliance.
• Work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.
