Job summary

The City of Santa Rosa is seeking a Water Systems Technician Manager to lead the installation, maintenance, and operation of electrical, instrumentation, SCADA, and PLC systems across water distribution and wastewater networks.

The role oversees technical staff, directs preventive and corrective maintenance programs, and ensures reliable operation of critical infrastructure while applying independent judgment in complex water/wastewater control environments at a leading city facility.

Qualifications

Experience directing journey-level electrical and instrumentation work in water/sewer facilities.
Ability to exercise independent judgment on maintenance and repair work.
Experience planning, organizing, supervising, and evaluating staff performance.
Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements in water/wastewater operations.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and supervise installation, maintenance, repair, and operation of electrical/instrumentation/SCADA/PLC systems for water distribution and wastewater collection.
Oversee technical staff and preventive/corrective maintenance programs to ensure reliable infrastructure.
Provide technical leadership and independent judgment in managing complex control systems.
