Priority Dispatch Corp. is seeking a DPW Maintenance Trainee to perform general maintenance, repair and physical labor in water distribution and wastewater systems under the DPW Supervisor.

The role involves inspecting meters, installing water meters, turning services on/off, and operating trucks/backhoes as needed; a high school diploma and a valid driver's license with potential to obtain Class A CDL within six months are required; physical tasks include lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with ability to obtain Class A CDL, tank endorsement, and medical certificate within six months.
• Experience in water distribution or wastewater systems preferred.
• Knowledge of safety procedures for maintenance work.

Responsibilities

• Assist in repair of water distribution and wastewater systems under supervision.
• Inspect water meters, service lines, mains, and valves while traveling throughout the township.
• Install and repair water meters using hand tools and gauges.
• Turn water services on/off as needed.
• Operate a truck or backhoe for material hauling and digging tasks.
• Record work status and material use for maintenance or repair projects.
• Perform site restorations and light landscaping as required.
