Job summary

ChartWater is seeking a Field Service Technician to support municipal and industrial water treatment projects. The role requires travel to customer sites for startups, media replacement, and issue resolution, plus training customers on operation and reviewing O&M manuals.

You will collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure successful startups and resolve technical issues. Expect about 75% travel; when not on the road, you will work onsite at customer facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Trade school certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years field service experience, preferably in water treatment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude to diagnose and fix issues.
• Electrical controls and instrumentation competency preferred; PLC knowledge a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with equipment commissioning is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites for system startups, media replacement, and unresolved issues.
• Train customers on equipment operation and review O&M manuals.
• Provide onsite technical support for troubleshooting mechanical, electrical or process issues.
• Collaborate with engineering and project management to ensure successful startups and issue resolution.
• Estimated 75% travel requirement; when not traveling, work onsite.
