Job summary

Switch is seeking a Regional Water Systems Engineer to serve as the regional technical authority for water quality and water system availability across data centers. You will drive water management strategies from construction through live operations, identifying risks, guiding corrective actions, and improving water quality, efficiency, and equipment reliability.

You will provide technical guidance for new data center construction, start-up, commissioning, QA/QC, and review submittals, RFIs,

Qualifications

• Experience with cooling water systems, water treatment, and hydronic equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, schematics, and MEP drawings.
• Experience coordinating with third-party water treatment vendors and service providers.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance for water system design, start-up, commissioning, and QA/QC activities.
• Monitor water chemistry performance and identify deviations or risks.
• Oversee third-party water treatment vendors and ensure performance and reporting.
• Analyze water quality data to identify risks to reliability and efficiency.
• Support investigations and root-cause analysis related to water system issues.
• Apply Switch water chemistry standards consistently across sites.
