Job summary

Flexton Inc. seeks a water systems engineer to lead the design, operation, and improvement of industrial and facility water systems, including cooling water, process water, and wastewater treatment.

You will develop PFDs and P&IDs, select pumps and equipment, monitor water quality, drive maintenance and reliability initiatives, and manage projects from concept to handover, coordinating across engineering, operations, and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, operation, maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement of industrial and facility water systems, including cooling water and wastewater treatment.
• Develop PFDs, P&IDs, hydraulic and thermal calculations, equipment specifications, process designs, and engineering documentation.
• Design and specify pumps, heat exchangers, filtration, RO, deionization, piping, valves, instrumentation, and chemical treatment systems.
• Monitor water quality parameters and manage treatment systems to prevent corrosion, scaling, biological growth, and equipment degradation.
• Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, preventive/predictive maintenance, system upgrades, and reliability improvement initiatives.
• Manage water-system projects from conceptual design through installation, commissioning, startup, and operational handover, including schedules, cost estimates, and technical scopes.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, maintenance, controls, contractors, vendors, and facilities teams to ensure reliable and safe system performance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable engineering codes, safety requirements, environmental standards, and operating procedures, while maintaining accurate drawings, specifications, calculations, and maintenance documentation.
