Job summary

Lock Search Group is seeking a highly capable Project Engineer to translate conceptual designs into practical, buildable systems for water management, piping, and process equipment across industrial facilities in New York.

You will lead multidisciplinary engineering activities, review PFDs and P&IDs, support site visits, prepare drawings and BOMs, and coordinate with vendors, consultants, and contractors to ensure on-time, within-budget project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
• Professional engineering experience in an industrial environment.
• Experience involving water management, wastewater, fluid handling, piping, and process systems.
• Strong understanding of piping design, layout, and constructability.
• Experience reviewing or working with PFDs and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple engineering projects within scope, schedule, quality, and budget.
• Coordinate project schedules, priorities, and deliverables across stakeholders.
• Review PFDs and P&IDs for technical accuracy and consistency.
• Coordinate the preparation and delivery of drawings, specifications, and BOMs.
• Support site visits, commissioning, and startup activities.
