Job summary

Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) in Austin, TX seeks a Senior Water Supply Planner to lead water planning and development activities that conserve and improve Texas water supplies. You will work closely with LCRA staff to administer the Water Management Plan and guide the long-range Water Supply Resource Plan.

You will help develop innovative strategies and models for future water supply projects in a flexible, hybrid work environment, advancing Texans’ water security.

Qualifications

• Nine or more years of experience in managing complex water supply planning and/or water supply development projects.
• A degree( s ) in engineering, environmental sciences, hydrology or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.

Here's The Role

At LCRA, we are seeking a Senior Water Supply Planner! In this role you would help lead water planning and development activities that contribute to the mission of conserving and improving water supplies in the Colorado River basin. You are someone that has expertise in water planning, works well with our customers, and can effectively develop water strategies and innovative solutions. As LCRA's senior water supply planner, you will work independently and with LCRA staff to administer the LCRA Water Management Plan, guide updates to LCRA's long-range Water Supply Resource Plan, develop business strategies for future water supply projects, and help lead the evaluation and implementation of new water supply strategies.
