Job summary

Black & Veatch, an employee-owned infrastructure company, seeks a Structural Engineer Intern (Water) to contribute to design and analysis on water projects. Chosen candidates will be located in Raleigh, NC or relocate to Raleigh, NC to join our team.

You will support development of design specs, perform analyses, prepare simple calculations, and organize project materials as part of a multidisciplinary group addressing critical infrastructure challenges.

Qualifications

• No experience required. Current enrollment in ABET accredited university in Civil Engineering program with a preferred emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Preference in coursework is at least 1 design course.
• All applicants must be able to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

• Support development of design specifications and contract drawings
• Perform variety of tasks to support engineering analyses, report production, and designs
