Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking a Structural Engineer (Substation) Summer Intern to contribute to critical infrastructure projects. You will gain hands-on experience across disciplines and work with project teams to deliver meaningful designs.

Chosen candidates will be located in or relocate to Raleigh, NC; Ann Arbor, MI; or Orlando, FL, joining a 100% employee-owned company that values safety, collaboration, and professional growth.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Current enrollment in ABET accredited university in Civil Engineering program with a preferred emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Preference in coursework is at least 1 design course.
• Pre-employment onboarding requirements may include background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search.

Responsibilities

• Support development of design specifications and contract drawings.
• Perform variety of tasks to support engineering analyses, report production, and designs.
• Prepare basic calculations.
• Organize and file project materials and references.
