Job summary

Divers Direct is seeking an energetic, customer-focused Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in all aspects of store operations, from sales generation to inventory and staff development. The role emphasizes guest satisfaction, merchandising, and timely reporting while mentoring sales associates.

You will recruit, train, coach, and evaluate staff, ensure policy adherence, and maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• Three (3) years retail sales or related experience.
• Certified Scuba Diver or Dive Instructor highly desirable; if not certified, complete academic requirements within 90 days.
• Experience or strong interest in paddling, kayaking, freediving and other water sports for product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in overall store operations and sales goals.
• Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction and handle complex issues.
• Recruit, train, develop and manage staff with regular performance assessments.
• Track performance and provide coaching as needed.
• Assist with merchandising and inventory control.
