City of Nacogdoches is seeking a Utility Construction Laborer to support the Public Works Department’s Sewer and Water teams. The role focuses on installing, repairing, and maintaining water and sewer lines, hydrants, and valves, with a mix of hands-on field tasks and on-call duties.

The candidate should have at least a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year of utility maintenance or construction experience, and a valid Texas driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled manual labor for installation, replacement, repair and maintenance of water and sewer lines.
• Assist with water/sewer taps, pipe laying, backfilling and site compaction.
• Operate and maintain sewer rodders, jackhammers, trenchers, and boring machines.
• Install and repair hydrants, meter valves, and related pipeline equipment.
• Work on rotation with call-out crew; on-call and call-back work may apply.
• Follow all safety training, policies, and procedures.
