Job summary

City of Brentwood TN is hiring Water & Sewer Technicians to install, maintain, and repair Brentwood's water and sewer systems. The role involves hands-on outdoor work ensuring reliable service for residents and businesses.

Maintenance Technician or Senior Maintenance Technician levels exist; Senior may lead and supervise as needed and requires relevant licenses. Competitive compensation includes allowances and potential annual raises.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required for all applicants.
• Senior level requires Tennessee Class II water license and Cross Connections Certification.
• CDL preferred or obtainable within two years for Maintenance Technician.
• Experience in construction, plumbing, utility or related maintenance is valued.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair water and sewer lines, meters, hydrants, and related equipment.
• Assist with pump stations maintenance and data collection (pressure, flow, chlorine).
• Operate and maintain vehicles, equipment, and tools used in water/sewer systems.
• Complete work orders and documentation in department systems.
• Lead or assist as needed for Senior level with supervision in absence of supervisor.
