Job summary

Port Ludlow Associates is seeking a Water/Sewer Tech to ensure potable water distribution and wastewater collection and treatment. You will maintain regulatory compliance and communicate professionally while upholding the company’s mission, vision, and values.

Requires an Associate's Degree or equivalent, 1–2 years of water/wastewater experience, and state certifications or ERWOW apprenticeship. Ability to obtain WA certifications and a Class B CDL within 12 months, plus a WA driver’s license,

Qualifications

• Associates Degree of applied science or any combination of experience, education and training that would provide the level of knowledge and ability required.
• 1-2 years of water or wastewater experience required.
• State certification for Water Distribution Manager 1 OIT, Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator 1 OIT, or ERWOW apprenticeship program required.
• Ability to obtain State certification for Water Distribution Manager 1 and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator 1 within 12 months of hire.
• Possess and maintain a valid Washington State driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a class B CDL within 12 months of hire.
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, and to climb water tanks and work in confined spaces.
• Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of wastewater systems including wastewater treatment, collection, and pumping systems.
• Knowledge of governmental rules and regulations pertaining to public water and wastewater systems.
• Knowledge of water systems operation including source, storage, treatment, transmission, and distribution.
• General problem solving, customer service skills, and adherence to safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operation and maintenance of all components of the water and sewer systems for regulatory compliance and upkeep.
• Water system duties include wells, reservoirs, transmission and distribution, and related hardware.
• Wastewater system duties include treatment, collection, and related hardware.
• Performs laboratory analysis of water and wastewater samples for process control and compliance.
• Adheres to QA/QC methodology.
• Provides prompt, professional customer service including complaints, emergencies, locates, meter installs, and sewer inspections.
• Maintains facilities to be clean, neat and safe.
• Participates in safety meetings and adheres to safety policies.
• Uphold the company’s Mission/Vision/Values.
