Job summary

Aerotek on-site in Waco, TX is seeking a Pipe Layer to install water, sewer and storm drain systems on active construction sites. You will work in trenches and confined spaces up to 20 feet deep, read plans, and coordinate with operators while following OSHA safety procedures.

This contract role requires lifting heavy materials, teamwork, and reliable attendance; they offer weekly pay, medical/dental/vision coverage, a 401(k) plan, and potential for long-term development.

Qualifications

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
• Experience installing water/sewer pipe.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Ability to read project plans and utility layouts.

Responsibilities

• Install water, sewer, storm drain, and other wet utility piping systems according to project specs.
• Lay and connect water and sewer pipe as the primary focus of daily work.
• Work safely in trenches and confined spaces up to 20 feet deep.
• Assist with excavation activities including grading, bedding, and backfilling around installed utilities.
• Read and interpret project plans, grades, and utility layouts to ensure accurate pipe placement.
• Safely lift, carry, and position pipe and materials weighing 50 pounds or more.
• Follow OSHA standards and company safety procedures at all times on the job site.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the project.
• Collaborate with equipment operators and crew members to coordinate site activities.
• Wear PPE: boots, hard hat, safety vest, gloves during all work.
