Job summary

Archer Western Construction is currently seeking a Pipe Layer for the Central Water Group/Red Oak WWTP in Waxahachie, TX.

The Pipe Layer will perform pipe-laying tasks involving physical labor (laying, joining, wrapping, sealing) on construction sites including commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects; may operate hand and/or power tools as needed; may prepare site and assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 1 year verifiable experience preferred.
• Must be able to climb and balance on scaffold/ladder.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in adverse weather conditions.
• Must comply with all safety policies and procedures and communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
• Strong work ethic and desire to learn.
• Good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Lay, join, align, wrap, and seal pipe sections and other pipe materials for water/gas main, sanitary sewer, or conduits.
• Operate hand and power tools as directed by management.
• Perform physical labor as instructed by supervisor.
