Job summary

Town of Flower Mound is seeking a Public Works/Utility worker to support water distribution and wastewater collections. You will perform routine construction, repair, and maintenance on mains, service lines, hydrants, and meters, while ensuring safety near traffic areas and complying with town policies.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a Texas Class A CDL within six months.

Qualifications

• Operates and maintains water/wastewater equipment and related systems.
• Demonstrates good judgment and ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines.
• Willingness to work long hours and respond quickly to on-call emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Constructs, maintains, and replaces water and sewer mains or service lines.
• Inspects, diagnoses, and repairs failures in water and sewer mains.
• Operates construction equipment and installs/repairs hydrants, valves, and meters.
• Undertakes daily maintenance tasks and completes work orders.
• Operates a range of tools and equipment and ensures safety near traffic zones.
