Job summary

Town of Flower Mound’s Public Works department seeks skilled equipment operators to support water distribution and wastewater systems. The role requires operating backhoes, excavators, loaders, and sewer-cleaning vehicles, with focus on safety and efficiency.

Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a Texas Class A CDL within six months. One year of utility maintenance/operation experience preferred; on-call readiness is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate construction equipment to install and maintain water and wastewater systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on vehicles and equipment.
• Repair and maintain utility lines, trenches, and associated services.
• Work safely in high-traffic areas and assist with on-call emergencies.
• Train others in equipment operation and safety practices.
