Placements24 is seeking a Water and Sanitation Engineer for a South African consultancy based in Upington, Northern Cape. You will design water supply and wastewater systems, perform hydraulic modeling, and prepare drawings and cost estimates, with site visits and client coordination.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelors in Civil Engineering (Water/Env) with Pr.Eng or Pr.Tech.Eng registration and 6+ years’ experience in water and sanitation.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Water or Environmental Engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA (Pr.Eng or Pr.Tech.Eng) is required.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in water supply and sanitation projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and hydraulic modeling software.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop water supply systems including treatment plants, reservoirs, pumping stations, and networks.
• Design wastewater collection systems and treatment plants.
• Conduct hydraulic modeling and analysis for water and sewer networks.
• Prepare detailed engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Ensure designs comply with water quality standards and environmental regulations.
• Supervise construction activities related to water and sanitation infrastructure.
• Collaborate with clients, authorities, and contractors to ensure project delivery.
• Provide technical support on water and sanitation issues.
• Stay updated with new technologies and best practices.
